Προσκαλούμε 7 άτομα, ηλικίας 18 έως 26 ετών, να ταξιδέψει μαζί μας από τις 27 Σεπτεμβρίου έως τις 05 Οκτωβρίου 2017 στο Παλέρμο της Ιταλίας, συμμετέχοντας στο Youth Exchange Project (KA1) “ No More Lies”.

Τα εισιτήρια προπληρώνονται από τους συμμετέχοντες και υπάρχει επιστροφή έως 170 ευρώ

Profiles of participants 
- 7 youngsters with age between 18 and 26, gender balanced 
- People interested in media, social media, non-formal education, information, journalism and social dialogue and wishing to acquire new creative and communication skills 
- Young people possibly from different backgrounds
- Young people with fewer opportunities

“No more lies” is a 7 day youth exchange under Key Action 1 of the Erasmus + programme that will be held in Palermo (IT) in September-October 2017. The exchange will bring together young people interested in topics such as: Youth participation, intercultural communication, traditional and new media, connection between media, perceptions and stereotypes. The participants will live together and get to know each other, sharing their opinions and ideas through a series of activities based on non-formal learning. They will work towards the production of a video that will be projected during a public final event and a non-formal report produced by the participants about the risks of media misrepresentation of social phenomena. Used methods will be non-formal, non-frontal and participative, encouraging discussion and intercultural dialogue, in order to maximize the learning experience. Activities will take place in the city of Palermo and in the neighborhood.

Objectives of the YE: 
‐ Foster the exchange of experience at an European level; 
‐ Foster awareness of issues related to the impact of information in Europe; 
‐ Provide young people with a conscious approach to communication and its effects; 
‐ Promote the active participation of young people in society; 
- Help young people improve their ICT and communication skills

During all the activities, participants will examine closely how mass information influences the perception of social phenomena (such as economic crisis, migrations, crimes etc..), will analyze the situation in the country of origin of the participants and will compare the different national models of information, commercial and marketing languages will be examined too. They will also reflect on the different communication strategies used in the EU. Participants will use a completely non‐formal approach to analyze the language of information and how this could affect different perceptions.


Expected Results: 
- A short video completely created and set up by participants that will be shown during a final public event, broadcasted on different media. 
- A non-formal report about risks of media misrepresentation of social phenomena 
- Increased awareness of young people about information in Europe 
- Increased awareness of local community about the relationship between information and perception of the phenomena. 
- Acknowledgement of using creativity and non‐formal education as tools to promoting integration and respect towards other cultures; 
- Increased knowledge about using ICT for both social and communicative goals purposes.
